A delicious home – made sponge cake!!
Preheat the oven 200º while you are mixing all the ingredients.
Take a big bowl and add:
– 400g (all-porpuses) flour
– 500g sugar
– Self raising flour (I use 5g, that is what a small packet contains)
Whisk all these ingredients carefully. Then add:
– 6 eggs (medium or large)
– Grate an orange peel a little bit and add 2 oranges juice
Whisk everything again. While mixing the ingredients, add half a glass of olive oil.
Take a large loaf tin, or two smaller, grease the tin bottom and laterals, and half full it with the mixture because the cake has to grow in the oven. Put the tin(s) in the oven for almost 45 minutes, but take a look from time to time just in case.
TIPS: – Do you want a chocolate cake?? Add some spoons of cocoa powder.
– Reduce or increase measures depending on how many people you are, this recipe is for a big cake.
