In the middle of the Canadian Rockie Mountains, you will find the small city of Banff.
Have you ever tried elk meat? No, then don’t hesitate to go to the Wild’s Bill (in the main street), a huge, all in wood restaurant where you can enjoy a really tasty elk hamburguer. We also recommend to ask for the spicy wings, maybe as a starter. You won’t forget such a meat.
Another option is to go to The Bison, I imagine you already know which kind of meat you can try here, right? This restaurant has unique furniture and atmosphere that won’t leave you cold. Of course, any dish with bison meat is the most appealing.
A restaurant that surprised us a lot was St. Jame’s Gate. A big Irish pub with great dishes, besides it is always very appetizing an asparagus soup with Guinness stout, something warm to fight the chilly Rockie Mountains even in summer.
What to say about this city that you haven’t heard yet. Only one thing, go to the Hanseatic neighbourhood and you’ll find the Bryggeloftet & Stuene Restaurant (in front of the harbour) where you can try deer meat in a wonderful dish with red fruit sauce. It was so delicious, that I’m still smacking my lips.
