Serrano ham can be eaten in any way: in a sandwich, toast… but here, we present you the way to have really nice snacks for any moment. You’ll see the recipe is really easy.
                   – A loaf of bread
                   – Serrano ham
                   – Olive oil
                   – Salt
                   – Tomato (optional)
                   – Parsley
Cut the loaf of bread in slices and toast them. Place them in a plate, pour some olive oil and add salt to taste. You can, either, cut the tomato in slices and add them to the toasts or give the toasts a rub with it, so they will have the tomato taste. Sprinkle the parsley over the toasts and add the ham on.

TIPS: Instead of ham, you can also use sardines.

A nice idea to be prepared in a jiffy for those days you just don’t feel like cooking but want to prepare something different and original.
                   – 2 sandwich bread slices (per person)
                   – Serrano ham
                   – Sliced tomato
                   – Diced cheese (the one you like most)
                   – Slices of turkey breast (or any other cold cuts)
                   – Sliced carrots
                   – Anchovies
                   – Olive oil
                   – Garlic
                   – Salt (optional)
Toast the bread, although it’s not necessary, give the bread slices a rub with the garlic, pour some olive oil and add the salt. Then put some tomato slices and the serrano ham.
For the morsel, just alternate all ingredients in any order: cheese, tomato, carrot, cold cuts and at the end an anchovy, if you like them. Add as many sequences as you like.

This is the best pizza ever!!! The most difficult thing to prepare is the dough but once you get it, you can create your very own pizza with your favourite ingredients.
             Dough ingredients:
                   – 300 gr. flour
                   – Half glass of warm water (it’s important to be warm)
                   – 2 olive oil soup spoons
                   – 2 full coffee spoons of baker’s yeast (much better to buy it at the baker’s)
                   – Salt
                   – Spices (oregano, garlic, parsley, basil… any!)
Put all ingredients in a bowl and mix them with your hands until the dough is consistent, no lumps. Add more flour or water if you need it. After that, spread flour over the countertop and place there the dough. Knead it for at least 15 minutes or until the dough is flexible and soft. Leave it in another bowl for 30-45 minutes covered with a humid cloth to let it rise.
After that long half an hour, spread some more flour over the countertop and stretch the dough with a rolling pin or your hands.
Preheat the oven at 200º.
             Pizza ingredients (picture):
                   – Tomato sauce
                   – Onion (if you like it)
                   – 1 or 2 tomatoes
                   – Spices (oregano, parsley or basil)
                   – Cheese
                   – Serrano ham

Spread the tomato sauce all over the stretched dough, add some spices if your dough doesn’t have any. Then, put the onion and tomatoes’ slices, cheese, ham and bacon. Leave in the oven for 10-15 minutes or more (all depend on your oven).

Here you are an idea to be cooked in a second. It’s easy, funny and healthy (much less greasy than a pizza) recommended for anybody, overmore children who will love it. Actually my parents used to cook it for us instead of ordering a pizza anywhere, I guess.
                     Ingredients (as in the photo):
                               – Bread, some slices (I usually have 4 for each person)
                               – Spices: rosemary, parsley or basil (choose the one you like most)
                               – Tomato sauce
                               – Sliced Cheese
                               – (Serrano) Ham
                               – Bacon (although in the photos there’s no bacon, add it)
Preheat the oven 200º
This is like cooking a pizza, so take the bread and spread tomato over, then add the spice you want and some salt. After that, place the cheese, the ham in strips and the bacon in little pieces or bits all around the bread. You can also add some goats cheese or other type.
Put in the oven until the bread is toasted and crunchy. And here you are!!

Here you are some ideas for great and delicious starters.
In the photo below we have three different starters, the base of all them is toasted bread, any kind of bread. In my opinion, the biggest or longest the slice is, the best.

1.- Strawberry jam and goats cheese: Very easy!!

    Take each slice and spread the jam all over. Then cut, as you like, the goats cheese.
    Tips: you can also use rapsberry jam, no others, add it on the bread or on the cheese.
For the two next ones, first rub a garlic over the bread (optional), pour a little olive oil and add salt.

2.- Tomato, lettuce, roastbeef and honey-mustard: Exquisite!!

     Put some tomato and lettuce on the bread, then a roastbeef slice or more and at the end add some
     mustard as a special and tasty touch.
     Tips: you can use any mustard type you like most.

3.- Tomato, lettuce, serrano ham and salmorejo: Original!

     As in the previous one, put the tomato and lettuce first, then one or more slices of ham, and use
     salmorejo as a sauce.

A quick recipe about a tasteful and fresh cold tomato soup
Peel 4 or 5 ripe tomatos and put them in a blender beaker, then add:
                 – 1 clove of garlic, peeled
                 – Salt
                 – Olive oil (reserve a thimbleful in a glass and put it in the fridge to be used at the end)
                 – Stale bread (1, 2… slices depending on how big they are, the bread is to make the soup
                 – 1 teaspoon of wine vinegar
With a stick blender (or similar) mix and blend everything correctly to get the soup. After you are done, take the oil you put in the fridge, add it to the soup and mixed all again. This last step give the soup a better texture.

   – chop over a hard-boiled egg or some serrano jam (normal, fried or baked). Just delicious!
   – serve it in a small glass and add a hard-bolied egg or ham. Very elegant for demanding guests!
   – spread over a slice of bread with any kind of sausage over it. A great aperitif!
   –  if there is some left, use it as a sauce for your dishes (meat, fish…). Quite creative!
   – with fried eggs, instead of using ketchup, use salmorejo (much healthier). Use your imagination!
